The end result of two Hubbers Talents and Passions
We all love to write, which is why we are a part of this stellar community. When I began writing on HubPages.com, I needed an outlet to express myself and a way to organize my thoughts and get a hold of my life. My writing has developed over the past two years, and I am often mortified when I re-read some of my original work published on Hub Pages, and am amazed that I had some very kind supporters and believers before my writing became organized and innovative, and far before I began to believe in myself or my abilities.
Among these early supporters are kimberlyslyrics, Crazdwriter, Mike Lickteig, Cagsil,Ben Zoltak, Paradise7, Lorlie6, Blondepoet, Ken R Abell,Richieb799 and Daniel Carter. I was glad to be writing here, but afraid that I was not worthy of these more successful Hubbers. The Hubbers which I have listed, did not only welcome me and provide feedback to my work, they encouraged and supported my efforts to polish some fairly rusty skills.
Daniel Carter surprised me on March 10th of 2010 with an email. I rarely had people email me, so I was eager to see why another Hubber wanted to share. I expected for Daniel to make a correction to a silly mistake I had probably made on a hub. His email was free of corrections, but instead read, "I have this idea..."
Daniel had noticed that the photography that I post on the majority of my hubs was in fact, my photography. A number of times he had compliment the work and I would respond appreciative of the feedback, kindness and boost in self-confidence he was providing. So when I read his idea, I was excited and more than honored to be included.
This grand idea he shared with me would be a collaboration of our talents. Daniel Carter, if you do not already know, is a phenomenal composer, with talent that I myself am not blessed with. Daniel saw in my work a knack for writing truth which speaks of so many people’s trials, tribulations as well as triumphs. He also saw an eye for capturing things through a cameras viewfinder, and felt that merging his music with some sort of visual display which represents my passions would equal something worth noticing.
I started working immediately on the project, full of ideas and striving to provide something that was better than what he was expecting. Unfortunately, my laptop and backup drive did not have the same plans I had made for the project, and each device left me, going to a better place for electronic known as Blue Screen Heaven...
Normally, although an inconvenience, the death of an electronic device would have done little to damper my enthusiasm or rhythm, but this particular backup was my main backup drive which I had compiled everything that was anything onto it. I had just finished organizing thousands of digital images taken over the past decade, and now was at a loss as to where to start pulling archives to recreate my library.
Along with my electronics disaster, I finally found a job after a year of looking. The new job as well as various adjustments within my personal life adjusting to the new 'working' me, allowed for little extra activity. Daniel understood, and did not push. In fact I am pretty sure he figured I had forgotten about the project. Although late, I have completed the video for one of the musical compositions he sent me back in March 2010.
Last week I emailed Daniel, letting him know that I had completed our presentation which combines his gift for composing beautiful melodies with my ability to photograph and then create online media. On Monday, Daniel responded with gratitude and approval of the video which showcases Claudia's Dance, one of his many beautiful pieces.
Daniel Carter and I have made our YouTube Debut with the posting of; It all Started With a Kiss, Monday evening. Due to Hub Pages being the meeting ground for Daniel and myself, I thought it only appropriate to share our project with the community. Let us know what you think of the results of this collaboration which is our Combined Talents- and what can happen when Hubbers Unite.

Hello H.C.
This was truly fantastic and how wonderful of a collaboration. I really loved it ..very sweet indeed.I also just met a fellow Hubber A.A. and it is so exciting when that happens. I was blessed to work with Twillight Lawns on a story a while back and it was a great time. The pictures and music were great!

Also voted up and awesome. :0) Gorgeous combination of piano composition and slide show. Love your quote at the end, too, H.C.
This piece deserves to go viral...so heartwarming and sweet! Love the message that is woven throughout. :0)
Absolutely splendid on all parts.
Oh wow, I saw this on Facebook and just had to comment on this, Holly. This is so beautiful. I really feels like magnificent piano music, and it suits your amazing photography so well. I was smiling at the kids here, as the music really catches that element of childhood innocence so well. I loved this. Thank you for sharing this. :)
It's amazing to me that just an idea and a communication can set in motion some very serendipitous events. Thank you, Holly, for creating this collaboration with me, and for persisting despite all the setbacks and events of life. In the end, living is what it's all about, but it's so nice that part of that living can yield some bits of artistic and creative collaborations like ours. I look forward, as time permits, to more of these with you.
Panda decimated me here at HP, and I unpublished over 50 hubs. But maybe it's time to stop reeling from all that internet nonsense and just start publishing again. I'll follow up with a hub about my perspective of how this all came together, and hopefully it will compliment what you have already done so beautifully.
Thank you again, my friend!
Two Hubbers working together is a wonderful idea. I loved the music as it was really beautiful. Voted up and beautiful.
Wow... what a creative talent you both are! I loved it! Well done.. I have to now end it with a kiss x
The first word to come to mind was AMAZING! The both of you have an amazing talent that I felt honored to watch. The photos were breathtaking. The music made them snap and come alive. I am looking forward to seeing more. Thank you both for sharing this.
LOVE IT! GREAT! SWEET! OH BABY BABY-THAT WAS COOL! This doen't begin to say it. Superb. Your photographs sure made his music all the sweeter.
Holly, what a beautiful collaboration between you and Daniel! Loved it! Hope you guys do many more!
Very nicely done. The pictures were awesome as was the composition. It's wonderful to see what can happen when two great minds come together. voted up
HOLLY!!! LOL. YOU are AT LEAST as talented as I am, or anyone else. There are many of us who know you are not only a fine writer, but very creative artistically, making, designing things, and then on top of all that, you're a mom and fab photographer.
So don't you give me none of this "Daniel makes me appear a bit more talented than I really am..."
Hmmmph.
:)
Rock 'n roll, Holly. And you do and it's so fine. So glad we get to be friends and do these fun things.
Not my sort of thing at all - music and pictures. But I thought I might as well have a look.
Absolutely beautiful.
Hi H.C, Really liked the hub and the video. The music and photographs seemed to combine very well. Are you going to put more videos on youtube? If so i'd be glad to subscribe to your channel as i've also been putting a few videos out recently. If you want to you can check out my latest hub which gives a link to my youtube channel and shows a few daft videos.
Anyway, great stuff H.C.
Cheers.Michael.
Wow, that was gorgeous. What a cool collaborative effort, I'm highly impressed. It gave me a very warm and serene feeling, with a tinge of sadness (piano music does that to me). The music and the photographs were both great, but together they were brilliant. Congrats!
Very impressive, I enjoy watching the video.
Hello just stopped by to bask in the beauty presented in this hub.
You truly are an amazing writer! Hub pages is full of people inspiring other people, and that is what I like so much about it. If you ask a question, there are so many people that step up to help.
Aww thanks so much for the mention. It has always been a pleasure to be there with you. Dang girl is it possible you get better looking too by the day. Wow. Have missed u heaps xx
Hello H.C. I haven't been by often. I saw this beautiful Hub brought a comment and thought I'd take a moment to wish you and yours a Merry Christmas.
I just read the Hubber to Hubber interview between you and MissOlive. I became an instant fan. Your words were encouraging as a person who a writer. You've taught me a few things in your interview that I hope to implement in my writing and work ethic. I also became very interested in your collaboration and had to find this video. I am so glad I did as it was the most charming imagery mixed with music that I've seen in quite a while. Smile!

Voted up and awesome, as not only was it good, but it is great to see hubbers getting in touch and working together!
I have had many nice people contact me through this site, it really is a great place. Great effects and music, I particularly liked the effect of the old cinema real over the older photos (or aged photos). The photos told a story, while the music did it's part ... now all you need is a singer to join the group ... but that's not me!! lol. Good work guys.
