Have You Seen Me- The Faces of Missing Children

This World is No Place Without the Ones that We Love

We live in a world that can be cruel. We live in a world that is not always fair. Strangers do the unthinkable to the ones that we love and cherish the most. This is no longer a world that you can allow your children to ride their bike to a friends house, as long as they are home in time for dinner.

Every day children go missing. Everyday children run away from home to have the freedom that they long for away from their parents. Some never return home. We watch the News Stories that tell the story of a child lost-a child abducted-a child missing. The News covers these stories for a day or two, then the faces of these children disappear from the T.V and are unfortunately forgotten to the public.

Parents don’t forget the curves of their child’s face. They don’t forget the love that they have for a child just because they are not in their presence.

If it was your child's story or a story of you, you would pray that some day someone would see your child and remember that they have seen them before. If it was your child you would long to hold them and kiss them again. If it was your child and your child did not come home, you would never stop looking-missing and praying for them.

Please look at some of the faces of just a few of the missing children. Please come back and look again when you begin to forget. Each child, and each person here has someone who misses them and awaits their return, if one of these stories was a story of you-you would hope that it was read too.

It should go without saying that if you have seen someone featured in this hub, please contact your local police department or the Missing Persons Bureau...it could be a matter of a child that is lost being found.

We never forget the faces of our children...

I came across this beautiful hub featuring the worlds missing children. Please take the time to read the words and look at each child's face. The more people that memorize the faces of the missing children, the better chance they have of coming home to their families.

If it was your child you would hope people would do the same for you.

Thanks Ann Nonymous for being the first one to comment on this hub. It makes me so sad every time I see a story about another missing kid. I cant imagine being those parents and not knowing so many things including if they are still alive, if they are sick, if they remember me, if I will ever see them again and if I do will it be in a body bag. Maybe someday the world will be safer for children and for all of us- but until that happens, I hope people remember to remember the missing and keep searching for them all... :) Thanks again for commenting :)

This has to be one of the worst fears of a parent - their children going missing. Thank you for keeping these missing childen alive in our memories and heart through this hub.

A parent's worse nightmare. I am a fan of the show Nancy Grace on Headline News. She is an advocate for victims. I recognize so many of the faces in your hub from watching her show.

Thanks so much for this very touching hub. Every little bit helps. If just one child could be returned alive, it would be a miracle.

Veronica,

Thanks for taking the time to look at this one. You are right-this is the absolute worst fear a parent could be faced with-far worse that death. I hope that just a few of the children that I saw while researching this hub are found-to if nothing else, give their families peace.

Sage,

Thanks you as well for taking a look at this hub. I 100% agree with you. If just one child is found, that in itself is a miracle. Guess it is a good thing I still believe in miracles :)

Thanks again...

This is something that no parent should experiment. This is a dangerous world. I'm sure your hub will contribute well. Rated and stumbled.

Hypnodude,

Thanks for Rating and for Stumbling :) I know it is just an article-but I figured Hub Pages is world wide, just not local, so if these kids left the country they are originally from-then maybe this gets notice out to people that may have not known they are missing.

Thank you Bonny2010,

I just know, if it was my child on one of those missing posters, I would hope that people would lend a hand and spread their photos for others to see and maybe it would help bring them home again

Oh you know HC I cannot even begin to imagine the devestation to a child's family when they go missing..I think even though I see myself as strong it would be the breaking point for me.

Blondepoet,

I agree 100% with you. I see myself as very strong and bendable-but if my child became apart of the Missing Children's Group-I do believe I would break. Thanks for commenting :)

L A Dreamin, Thank you for the comment... I know if it was my child I would want as much notice taken as possible- even if I wasnt able to get a child home to their families, the more people who can recognize their faces the better.

Lets hope and pray that these beautiful children can be found safe and well.

As a parent, I could only just imagine what it would be like to have your babe gone from your safe arms.

Well done for writing this hub.

The more publicity for these missing children the better.

I have a place in my warm heart for these children and for those whose life and heart is empty without them.
